DESIGN

The hull design is my own, initially drawn on the floor of my workshop, it has undergone some minor developments over subsequent boats and now has settled at a shape that I believe is optimal.

The Materials

The finest hardwood timbers are sourced locally where possible and from abroad subject to suitability. Currently, I am using Khaya mahogany for the hulls and English oak for the steam bent timbers. Other timbers are utilised in the joinery and fit out can vary according to taste and availability.

The Build

The style of woodwork is that of cabinetry, I use solid woods in the manner of traditional construction. Most of the fittings are made in by me in my workshop from 316 stainless steel. Each boat is documented throughout its build from the laying of the keel to the launch and beyond
