My Journey with Horses
Early Passion for Horses I really liked horses when I was about 3 or 4 years old. I rode a small horse at a fair and fell in love with them. I didn’t have a horse of my own when I was a kid, but I went to a riding school when I was five and made friends with horses there.
Choosing a Different Path Despite my passion for horses, I initially followed societal expectations by studying Industrial Engineering and Management at university. However, after graduation, I realized my heart was still with horses, not in my field of study. So I shifted away from my learned field to pursue my true passion and bought my first horse: Mella.
Becoming a Horse Trainer My journey as a horse trainer began with a dream of giving back to horses what they had given me in my younger life. Observers of my work with Mella encouraged me to support them with their horses. Starting without clients or funds, I agreed to be paid only for successful outcomes. I faced difficult horses, learned from each experience, and grew as a trainer. I transitioned from western to dressage riding, prioritizing the partnership between rider and horse over a specific discipline.
I kept on learning from each horse I got in training and shared the journey with many of them on social media. My unstructured training approach evolved into the structured Feather Light Academy, where I share my training principles, exercises, and advice through videos and lessons.
Bridging Humans and Horses Through the Feather Light Academy With the launch of the Feather Light Academy, my ultimate goal is to extend a helping hand to as many individuals and their equine companions as possible. Through this platform, I am committed to sharing the knowledge and techniques that empower us to create a brighter future for horses. By arming people with the tools they need, we can collectively transform the world into a better place for these magnificent creatures. Together, let’s enrich the lives of both humans and horses, forging a path of understanding, respect, and harmony.
